TEHRAN – The January attackers of the Saudi embassy in Tehran have received sentences, their lawyer Mostafa Shabani told ISNA on Friday.

They have been sentenced to 3 to 6 months in prison, he said. “They have been exonerated of charges for sabotage, but convicted of having disturbed public order.”

“I will plea against the verdicts,” Shabani asserted. He added, “These were a number of youths who raised their voice against Al-Saud’s barbarity… and had nothing in mind but peaceful protest.”
